What You Should Know About All City Heating & Air

In 1974, Gene Poplin founded All City Heat and Air. Gene had previously worked for Sealtest Dairy, working to keep ice cream from melting on the delivery trucks. With his expert knowledge in refrigeration and the satisfaction he received from helping people, he decided to begin his own residential service company.

From the very beginning, All City developed personal and trusting relationships with clients. News about All City and Gene’s honest, expert service spread quickly throughout Charlotte. Gene found the need to grow the company, but wanted to keep the small-company feel—providing expert, professional services while developing relationships.

Gene retired in 1995 to teach HVAC classes full-time at Central Piedmont Community College, and All City management was handed over to long-time service technician, Jeffrey Buhl. Ernie Brummitt also joined All City’s management, bringing his 25 years of service experience to the company.

Together, Jeff and Ernie have carried on Gene’s vision of a customer-first company built on honesty and integrity.
